New WDW 50th Anniversary Autograph Books Debut
With the return of traditional character meet-and-greets today, a time-honored souvenir also made a super comeback: the Disney autograph book. Ready to commemorate “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” the new design captures the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary in all of its “EARidescent” glory.
Clad in their celebratory wear designed especially for the 18-month-long festivities, Mickey and Minnie Mouse stand front and center on the deep royal blue books.
Pluto plays alongside, seemingly intrigued by the quite dapper pair of scheming chipmunks, Chip and Dale. The antics of the trio have long defined that relationship.
Donald Duck and Goofy stare straight off of the page, capturing the joy that the book symbolizes. Over two years passed since the books were required at Disney Parks due to pandemic protocols. Missing from the special cover is Daisy Duck, a member of the Sensational Six.
Instead, TinkerBell lights up the night sky with bursting fireworks that surround Cinderella Castle, as they do nightly during the new spetacular, Disney Enchantment.
The back cover not only features the 50th anniversay logo, Cinderella Castle and all of the traditional characters of the front but also a few other Walt Disney World Resort favorites. Figment joins a plethora of flying favorites, including Orange Bird, Chuuby of “Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway,” Kevin from “Up,” Zazu from “The Lion King,” and, of course, Dumbo.
We spotted the autograph keepsake at Creations Shop, the recently opened retail epicenter at EPCOT. For $14.99, the book makes a perfect way to collect the signatures of favorite characters and to remember such stellar memories during Walt Disney World’s special milestone. Guests will want to pick up a pen or pack a Sharpie to make sure that they are ready for the abundace of character greetings that returned to normal status today.
