Small World Holiday Dazzles at Disneyland
It’s a Small World is a classic Disney ride that fans of all ages enjoy. During the holiday season, Disneyland transforms the ride into a holiday delight. It’s a Small World Holiday truly dazzles at Disneyland Resort.
It’s a Small World is a classic boat ride located in both Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Florida. Both attractions are similar but also have their unique differences. Walt Disney World’s attraction does not receive a holiday overlay.
During the holiday season, It’s a Small World receives a holiday projection show in the evenings. Christmas scenes light up the sky on the outside of the attraction. The holiday projection show is displayed every 30 minutes throughout the night. The facade of the building is also lit up in twinkling Christmas lights in between the light shows.
It’s a Small World is not only transformed on the outside but within the attraction itself. The music within the attraction changes from the typical “It’s a Small World” to Christmas music. The music changes depending on which region of the world your boat is currently in.
Each area of the attraction is decorated in holiday decor. I was surprised at the level of detail in decorations. Each area of the ride has themed lights and decorations.
The southwest scene features a decorated cactus along with Disney friends Jesse and Woody.
Lollipops are featured in the Netherlands along with tulips and windmills.
Santa’s wonderland is featured with a mailbox for Christmas wish lists.
The rides ends with a beautiful Peace on Earth sign with children from different parts of the world represented. It’s a Small World Holiday is a true delight and should be added to any Disneyland Resort holiday trip. It can also be booked with Genie+ saving time in line.
