“Meet the Mayhems” Begins Production
Earlier this month, the Walt Disney Company announced an enormous number of new shows coming not only to Disney+ but also to Disney Branded Television. Now, one of those new shows, “Meet the Mayhems” officially began shooting this week in Los Angeles.

Due Summer 2022 on both the Disney Channel and Disney+, “Meet the Mayhems” explores the comical and challenging adjustment that one family of supervillains must go through after they “recently ran afoul of the League of Villains and now must somehow beat a path to normalcy in a small Texas town,” according to a release.

“Chris and Bryan, along with this terrific cast, are fast at work to deliver a fun and entertaining ‘fish-out-of-water’ tale about an extraordinary family living an ordinary life.While they entertain, the stories also incorporate themes of self-confidence, personal responsibility, teamwork, justice and empathy,” said Disney Branded Television President Ayo Davis in yesterday’s release talking about show creators Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore. The pair also serve as executive producers on the show.

The live-action show’s plot begins with Havoc, a teenage villain in the family, taking a stand against the leader of all villains. The family must flee for their safety, and Havoc takes on the name of Amy, who is played by “Finding Alice” actress Isabella Pappas. Her sidekick, Hartley, is played by Kayden Muller-Janssen.

The show also stars “Wonder Woman” actress Lucy Davis, James Patrick Stuart, Malachi Barton, and Reed Horstmann. Patricial Belcher will also play a reoccuring role, according to the release.
