5 Not-To-Be-Missed Programs For Your December Weekend
It’s the weekend Disney friends and you know what that means- two whole days to relax, unwind and take in some awesome TV! The holidays have definitely arrived across Disney channels, Disney+ and affiliate networks. There’s a whole host of awesome programs that are sure to get you in the holiday mood!
To kick things off, here are five of our favorites.

Disney Holiday Magic Quest—Friday, December 3, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel
We are so happy that special is back for another year. Host Yvette Nicole Brown joins four familiar faces from Disney’s ZOMBIES franchise – Meg Donnelly, Milo Manheim, Kylee Russell and Trevor Tordjman for a high-stakes holiday adventure featuring new epic challenges.
This group splits up into two teams of two to navigate challenges and obstacles at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Christmas… Again?!—Friday, December 3, at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel
Rowena “Ro” (Scarlett Estevez) is a high-spirited teenager who is experiencing a lackluster Christmas. She’s not handling her parents’ divorce well. She wants life to be the way it was before and asks a local Santa Claus (Gary Anthongy Williams) for a “do-over” and find herself reliving Christmas day over and over again. Now it’s up to Ro to figure out how to break the strange magical loop and find the true meaning of Christmas.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid—Friday, December 3, on Disney+
Greg Heffley (Brad Noon) is a scrawny kid with a very active imagination and aspirations of being rich and famous. However, he needs to survive middle school first. His adolescent struggles are made worse by the fact that his best friend Rowley (voiced by Ethan William Childress) seems to coast through life, effortlessly succeeding at everything.

The Santa Clause Marathon—Saturday, December 4, at 6 p.m. ET/PT on FX
Tune into FX on Saturday evening for a marathon of The Santa Clause. Disney Legend Tim Allen takes on the role of Scott Calvin (aka Santa Claus) with Spencer Breslin, David Krumholtz, Eric Lloyd and Martin Short. The films included in the marathon are as follows:
- The Santa Clause (1994)
- The Santa Clause 2 (2002)
- The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006)

Something’s Coming: West Side Story – A Special Edition of 20/20—Sunday, December 5, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on ABC
With the long anticipated West Side Story opening next weekend, we thought this ABC Special airing on Sunday would get you excited! The special will feature interviews with Spielberg, Rita Moreno and other members of the cast and crew, discussions with Puerto Rican actors, artists and journalists on the impact this story has had on their lives and the importance of authenticity and representation in film. You’ll also want to check out the new behind-the-scenes footage.
