More Lightning Lane Signage Goes Up at Magic Kingdom
They transition from Fastpass to Lightning Lane is almost complete!
MickeyBlog is back at Magic Kingdom this afternoon where we noticed that even more rides are not sporting the Lightning Lane signage.
Here are some photos we took at Big Thunder Mountain.
The orange FastPass has now been replaced.
Disney World has yet to announce an official date for Lightning Lanes but we’ve got a feeling that its just around the corner as more attractions are getting signage updates.
Next it’s over to Monsters Inc.
As you can see the FastPass lane has now been changed.
As we have previously mentioned, all of the clocks have remained in place meaning the new system will have posted return times just like FastPass.
It’s look more and more like all of the attractions that previously had FastPass status will also be part of Genie+.
Under this system, guests will now pay for FastPass use.
Paying in advance for front of the line passes will cover many Disney attractions, you will use the Lightning Lane for this.
For some of Disney’s headlining attractions like Rise of the Resistance- there will be an additional paid for options that you’ll need to get (in addition to the regular Genie+) in order to access these attractions.
It’s a TIME of huge changes as Disney gets ready to celebrate it’s 50th Anniversary.
Though these changes are a bit confusing at the moment, we here at MickeyBlog will do our best to keep you well informed in the days and weeks ahead.
We leave the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and head over to Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.
As you can see, Star Command has also undergone a transformation.
When Genie+ launches, you’ll be able to use the Lightning Lane pictured above!
With these two attractions sporting new signage, Tomorrowland might just be completely updated!
Magic Kingdom cast members are hard at work every night after the theme parks close.
During this time, new signage is going up. So when we visit the following morning, it’s a bit of a surprise!
Before our MickeyBloggers left Tomorrowland, they popped over to Space Mountain.
As you can see, it is more of the same!
Lightning Lanes have definitely taken over Magic Kingdom.
We think Space Mountain is looking lovely today under those big blue skies.
It holds the distinction of being the only coaster in Tomorrowland but not for long!
Construction is still going strong for the TRON coaster. However Disney has yet to announce and opening date.
Next up we move over to Storybook Circus.
The Barnstormer also now has it’s own Lightning Lane signs!
There it is, right next to the image of the Great Goofini!
I have always loved the aesthetic of this area of the park.
Here, the Lightning Lane is keeping is traditional Citizen clock.
Though some Lightning Lane signs look less permanent, this one does actually look like it was painted on.
It looks pretty professional!
It was great to be able to pop by and take a look at the changes!
The Barnstormer queue is also the perfect place to get a peek at the TRON coaster. If you’ll be visiting in the days ahead, it’s definitely worth checking out!
Going into classic Fantasyland, The Many Adventures of Winne the Pooh also has some pretty permanent looking signage.
We love that the Lightning Lane sign here is right below the Cuckoo Clock.
You can even see Pooh inside a honey pot popping out!
However if there’s one sign that still needs at bit of work it’s over at the Haunted Mansion.
The do have a Lightning Lane sign up on the iron gate in front of the property.
However, it definitely lacks the three dimensional quality of the entrance sign.
We hoe that this is just a placeholder.
We’ll be on the lookout to see if this gets changed in the near future!
With some of the attractions, it’s hard to tell.
However, in this case, there is a pretty noticeable difference!
