Disney Confirms Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Resort Will Open in Spring 2022
It’s definitely been an exciting morning for Star Wars fans! Just minutes ago, Disney released an interview with Disney Imagineers who have dedicated the last five to six years of their lives bringing the Star Wars: Starcruiser Resort to life. And, while we previously knew the Starcruiser Resort would open in 2022, we now know it will open in the spring of 2022!

During the interview, the Disney Imagineers took a deep dive into all the out-of-this-world details Guests will experience when they take part in the immersive, two-night stay aboard the Starcruiser when it opens in spring of 2022. Up until now, we knew the stay would be “a two-night, immersive adventure in a galaxy far, far away that goes beyond anything Disney has created before.” But, this interview really goes way more in-depth.
During the video, we also learned even more details on how Guests staying on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser when it opens in spring 2022 will experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the planet Batuu at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Riding Rise of the Resistance and the Millennium Falcon will have consequences – both good and bad!
And, since I’m all about the food, I was excited about the preview the Disney Imagineers gave us about the selections Guests will enjoy when the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opens in spring 2022. In addition to the Guests staying being a once-in-a-lifetime experience to a galaxy far, far away, it’s going to be a culinary journey of epic proportions!
