50th Anniversary Construction at Animal Kingdom
Recently, MickeyBlog shared the news of a new Animal Kingdom daytime show titled “Disney Kite Tails.” This morning around 9:00 am, MickeyBlogger Whitney caught some construction for the 50th-anniversary celebration!
“Disney Kite Tails”
“Disney Kite Tails” debuts as a part of Walt Disney World’s 50th anniversary, “The World’s Most Magical Celebration.” Beginning on October 1, 2021, windcatchers and kites will take to the skies in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
During “Disney Kite Tails”, windcatchers, kites, and gliders perform to classic Disney tunes from The Jungle Book and The Lion King. The show stars favorite Animal Kingdom characters such as Baloo, King Louie, Simba, and Zazu, as well as African and Asian animals.
A team diligently builds a platform at the Discovery River Amphitheater, which is where “Disney Kite Tails” will take place. Disney performers will puppet from the ground and water, so it appears that preparations for the new show are underway.
Indeed, the show requires much preparation since handlers will be whizzing through the water with 30-feet-long kites. At the site, you can see workers, equipment, and potential docking areas for the show.
Also, a pictured scuba diver is part of the working crew. Truly, a lot goes into building a magnificent Disney show, both in viewing areas and behind the scenes.
In this case, Animal Kingdom’s construction area for the 50th anniversary includes underwater. MickeyBlog appreciates all the hard work put into creating and performing such spectacular shows, Disney does a fantastic job in that regard!
