Fireworks Markers are in Place and Crowds Gather for Happily Ever After Fireworks
Tonight marks a momentous Walt Disney World occasion. Happily Ever After returns to Magic Kingdom after being on hiatus since the COVID-19 shutdown.
Our MickeyBlogger Greg has been on the scene all day and the closer we get to the fireworks display which starts at 9pm, the heavier the crowds.
Guests can be seen here arriving to the park. Must are scurrying up to the HUB just in front of the castle to secure their viewing spot this evening.
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, big Disney fans could be seen holding down their spot since about 1pm this morning.
Here’s the view from the Castle steps down Main Street of the HUB which is now a bustle of activity!
Guests could be seen sitting in the open area of the plaza which will offer some of the best views of the festivities.
At the moment things are looking pretty mellow but as we get closer to showtime it will be wall to wall people!
Magic Kingdom Cast Members have just started taping off areas in preparation for the crowds.
This is to ensure that walkways remain clear as the crowd gets bigger.
It is so nice to see the crowd waiting for the fireworks once again!
At the moment, the weather is holding out but storm clouds are starting to role in this evening.
There’s a lot of dedication going on with this crowd though so we don’t expect their plans or their claim on viewing areas to be thwarted to easily.
Below you can see the taped off walkways as you stroll across the HUB.
They also line the popular walkway and bridges leading into the individual lands.
Its amazing to think that all of these areas will be filled up in just a few hours.
MickeyBlog will be at the parks right up to showtime and we’ll continue to post updates the nearer we get to 9pm.
Before long, cast members will be stationed throughout the HUB to make sure guests stay in the designated areas.
We expect tonight’s Happily Ever After to be extra special and imagine that Disney has a trick or two up their sleeves.
As we previously reported, Cast Member previews were held earlier this week and Jordan Fisher (who recorded the Happily Ever After theme song was there to get the crowd singing along.
We wonder if we’ll see any familiar faces pre-show before the dazzling castle projects dazzle on the castle one again.
If you’ve yet to see Happily Ever After you don’t know what your missing. This unrivaled evening extravaganza combines castle projections, special effects, lasers, pyrotechnics and more for a spectacle that you’ll never forget.
Below you can see that the roped off areas nearly to the gates of Liberty Square.
As you can see Cast Members are stationed throughout in anticipation of the crowds.
Keep checking back with us Disney friends. We’ll even be coming to you LIVE from the festivities this evening.
Remember, the Happily Ever After fireworks are expected to start at 9:00 pm.
