The Rock, Dwayne Johnson, Shares Jungle Cruise Poster
Indiana Jones-style poster gets fans, and The Rock, excited for the upcoming film…
As far as I am concerned, thus far this summer, Disney is batting 1000 at the box office. Cruella was very, very entertaining.
But now we’re waiting on Black Widow (July 9) and Jungle Cruise (July 30). However, The Rock — Dwayne Johnson — is already hopping on the hype train for his film.
So, our favorite chisel-chinned pro football player turned wrestler turned actor is ready to take us on the adventure of a lifetime.
A Classic Adventure
Now, those of us old enough to know how to use a rotary dial phone remember movie posters having a pretty classic look.
For example, Richard Amsel’s Raider of the Lost Ark:
And that classic look is quite prevalent in the new Jungle Cruise poster.
Of course, Johnson was more than ready to show off the new, but classic, poster:

So damn cool to see you all this HYPED for our epic JUNGLE CRUISE… Reactions to our new trailer have been [on fire, thank you]!! Emily and I can’t wait to lead our global campaign and have you join us for the most FUN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME!!”
The official Jungle Cruise Twitter handle posted the first look at the poster on May 27.

That was the same day the studio posted the movie’s second official trailer:
And MickeyBlog.com was on the case of the new promotional media:

However, after several, well, years of delays, the Disney PR team is already in overdrive getting fans excited for the film, which has been compared to The Mummy, Raiders, and — of course — The African Queen.
BTW: You’ll notice some distinct similarities between Bogie and Dwayne’s wardrobe in Jungle Cruise.
But it isn’t just posters and trailers pumping up the upcoming premiere of Jungle Cruise.
Recently, D23 Magazine profiled the film:
Jungle Cruise sails onto the cover of the new issue of @DisneyD23 “Disney twenty-three” publication with Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt.

But Disney PR and MickeyBlog.com are not done dishing the deets on Jungle Cruise.
