Disney World’s Boo Bash Garnering Big Attention
Mickey’s Not So Scary Is Shelved, But Boo Bash Should Bring The Fun
Most everyone who makes the trip to Walt Disney World says that there’s still magic to be had. These days, it’s just a little different.
Of course, Halloween at Magic Kingdom won’t be back to normal – unfortunately, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party will not be back this year.
However, during its 50th anniversary, it made sense that as many stops as possible would be pulled to raise the bar as safely as possible.
What Exactly Is A Boo Bash?
Introducing The Boo Bash.
Now, we posted the original story as breaking news when WDW made the announcement:
BREAKING: Disney After Hours BOO BASH Coming to Magic Kingdom This Fall
However, beyond the big first stories, attention is again turning to Disney World. Now, fans from around the world are thinking, “Well, maybe we’ll make the trip…”
CNet.com is just one of the outlets starting to spread the good word:
- Boo Bash will run certain nights from Aug. 10 until Oct. 31, from 9 p.m. until midnight, Disney said Friday.
- The three-hour ticketed event will occur after the park closes and include specially-themed music, decorations, food offerings, and entertainment…
- Trick-or-treating should be making a return, with Disney saying guests will “get their fill of Halloween candy…”
More Details
CNet.com also reminded readers that guests of all ages can wear costumes, and cavalcade (impromptu mini-parades) will also be featured.
And, Halloween began to trend heavily on Disney social media:

The Crux Of The Boo Bash
But for this Dad, the best news to come out of any story about Boo Bash is this passage from the official Disney Parks Blog post.
“The experience offers low wait times at more than 20 attractions from classics like the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain, to newer favorites like Seven Dwarfs Mine Trail,” wrote Sarah Domenech. “It’s a ghostly good time for all!
“Tickets will go on sale next month, with an early purchase window available to guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels.”
A few years back, Disney really kept the numbers down on their traditional Halloween and Christmas parties. More recently, not so much.
But, given that the parks are running at low capacity right now, it stands to reason that a return to smaller crowds is in the offing.
Now, if we can just keep our heads on straight whilst trying to get the tickets! Better call MickeyTravels – they’ll keep the planning from getting scary.
