Work Continues On The Castle Forecourt Stage at Disney World
If you’ve been following along with us here at MickeyBlog you’ll know that we’ve been closely following the progress of the preparations of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
The festivities will officially kick off on October 1st with Magic Kingdom being the focus of a whole host of fun celebrations!
With this in mind, decorating for the celebration is already underway.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve shared lots of images of the banners, golden ribbons and dazzling jewels going up around Cinderella Castle.
A new stage has also taken shape over the past year with a very intricate constructing including electrics and weather proofing.
Though Disney has remained pretty tight lipped about what the stage will be used for we suspect some sort of Disney World 50th Anniversary stage celebration is on the horizon.
We’ll be keeping a close on on this and other 50th Anniversary renovation projects!
Prior to the COVID-19 shutdown, Disney would use this area, known as the Castle Forecourt Stage, for daily shows including the morning welcome show.
However, any of Disney’s entertainment options that encourage a crowd to gather like shows, parades and fireworks displays are on hiatus until social distancing requirements are relaxed.
We see this stage construction as a sign of optimism that we may see the all singing, all dancing side of Disney come back soon!
