Check Out How Hong Kong Disneyland Is Saving The Planet
During Earth Month, we are continuing to look at the ways that Disney parks and resorts around the globe are taking measures to ensure a great big beautiful tomorrow. This Friday evening, we’re heading to Hong Kong Disneyland where horticulturalists are working with an awesome innovation. They have found a way to convert green waste into wood ships to improve soil health!
For those unfamiliar, wood chips are helpful when it comes to the soil retaining its temperature and moisture. It also helps regulate weeds and bacteria. Through their wood chipper initiative, Hong Kong Disneyland can ensure that greenery will grow while keeping waste at a minimum.
Wondering exactly how this is done. Check out the video below:
This is just one of the myriad of different ways that Disney is working to make a difference when it comes to the environment, sustainability and conservation! If this is an area that interests you then be sure to check out Disney’s 2030 environmental goals to get to the “root” of Disney’s efforts!
