Disney Star Olivia Rodrigo To Release New Single On April 1st
Has there EVER been a breakout hit as massive as Olivia Rodrigo’s “drivers license!?” Nylon calls it one of the most cathartic tearjerkers in recent memory and we would agree! Since then, fans have been eagerly anticipating the 17-year-old songwriters next move. That’s why we here at MickeyBlog are pleased to reported to that the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series star recently took to Instagram to share news on her next single.
Rodrigo announced that her next single “Deja Vu” is expected to drop on Thursday April 1st at 9 pm. You can check out the post below.

As Nylon reminds us, “drivers license” managed to dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 consecutive weeks. So what can we expect from the next single? During her recent interview with the magazine Olivia said that folk and alternative rock are two of her major inspirations and she hopes their influences can be heard on her new album. Rodrigo said, “My dream is to have it be an intersection between mainstream pop, folk music, and alternative rock.” She continued “I love the songwriting and the lyricism and the melodies of folk music. I love the tonality of alt-rock.”
In addition to the single “Deja Vu” Rodrigo is expected to release an EP at some point this year!
