New Scrims Help Peter Pan’s Flight Construction Blend In at Magic Kingdom
Over the past month, we here at MickeyBlog have been covering the construction happening at Peter Pan’s Flight in the Magic Kingdom. Work is being carried out to the facade of the building and no timeline has really been given for the completion of the project.
As you can see from the image above, when construction first started, large beige-colored scrims were but up around the building. This looked rather unsightly in this bustling area of Fantasyland.
That’s why we’re pleased to let visitors know that these have been switched out just in time for the Spring Break crowds!
Now scrims replicating the original facade of the building have been put in place and it does make a big difference!
With the news that Disney Park passes have completely sold out next week we do expect larger than usual crowds at the Magic Kingdom.
Peter Pan’s Flight has long remained one of the theme parks most popular attraction and boasts some of the longest lines!
With socially distanced queues in place the queue now runs down toward the Tangled themed restrooms.
You can see the line snake its way around the new scrims that essentially now cover the entire exterior of the building except for the actual entrance.
From there the lines do reach all the way to Liberty Square.
And recently the entrance to join the queue has started at Columbia Harbour House.
As of going to print, Columbia Harbour house is not in service but is rather being used as an indoor queuing area for Peter Pan’s Flight.
With the sun shining and the scrims up, it looked like business as usual at the Magic Kingdom.
As you can see, as you snake towards the front of the building, the scrims end exposing the original marquee for the attraction.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with us throughout the Spring Break period where we’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks with the latest news and updates!
