Walt Disney World Monorail Debut New Social Distancing Partitions
The Walt Disney World Monorails just debuted new social distancing partitions. And, thanks to @disneywithmichael on Instagram, we have our first look at what new safety measures are in store for Guests the next time they take a ride on the Monorail.

The new Social Distancing partitions on the Monorail appear to be installed so that more families can fit in one Monorail car at at time. Previously, two parties were seated in each car but now it looks like four parties can be seated in one car at a time. This, in turn, will allow the Monorail wait times to go down.
The new setup on the Monorails also looks familiar to the social distancing measures installed on Walt Disney World Resort buses that run between the Resorts, Theme Parks, and Disney Springs. All parties are assigned a pod before entering the bus to make sure enough distance is between your party and other Guests.
Walt Disney World has recently installed plexiglass social distancing partitions on many of their attractions to increase ride capacity while lowering wait times and keeping all Guests and Cast Members safe and healthy. In addition, some rides are now seating every row versus every few rows based on new advice and guidelines from medical and health officials. Without FastPasses being available right now, this really helps parties move through the ride queues even quicker.
