Scrims Are Starting To Come Down On “it’s a small world.”
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog or if you’ve been to Magic Kingdom recently you’ll know that work is being done to the façade of beloved attraction, “it’s a small world.” The normally bright and colorful queuing area of the attraction was covered in a scrim that adhered to the classic style of Mary Blair.
Here’s a look at what the attraction looked like during our last visit:
As you can see a construction wall was erected around the attraction with a tall striped scrim covering many of the delightful details from this beloved classic boat ride.
However, I’m pleased to say that during our visit today, our MickeyBlogger noticed that there is good progress being made and some of the cosmetic work has been completed.
As you can see from the image above, some of the construction walls and parts of the scrim had been taken down.
We can once again see the regal detailing as you enter the attraction.
And you can see the flags flying once again.
As you can see, some of the areas still remain covered but progress has definitely been made!
We would expect to see more of this area opened up in the weeks ahead. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog for more news and updates.
