NBA Teams Not Making the Playoffs May Begin Checking Out of Walt Disney World Bubble Resorts This Week
This week might mark the end for some NBA teams staying in Walt Disney World Bubble Resorts. Chris Haynes on Twitter (@ChrisBHaynes) reports that those teams who have been mathematically eliminated on or before tomorrow, August 12, will leave the Bubble immediately after their final game.
Yahoo Sources: NBA teams that have been mathematically eliminated on or before Aug. 12 will depart campus immediately after their final game has ended. Following game, teams will shower in designated rooms at the Coronado Springs Resort, receive meal and take team bus to airport.

During their time in the Walt Disney World Bubble, NBA teams have been housed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. These Resorts are scheduled to reopen to Guests within the next several weeks on this schedule:

- August 24: Disney’s Yacht Club reopens
- September 21: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopens
- October 14: Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort reopens
When all 22 teams arrived in the NBA Bubble last month, they were invited to play eight regular season games for seeding before the Playoffs begin. The highest seeded teams before entering the Bubble have called Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort home. The middle-seeded teams called Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa home while the lowest seeded teams called Disney’s Yacht Club home.
Any teams still playing in the Playoffs that are currently staying at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort home will be moved over to Disney’s Coronado Springs prior to the Yacht Club reopening on August 24. Disney’s Coronado Springs is considered the “main hub” of the Bubble with practice and training facilities being located in the Resort’s Convention Center.
