The New Trailer, Footage For The New Mutants
Welp, the Comic-Con At Home 2020 deets deluge continues with a new trailer and footage of The New Mutants; however, no new release date [hands up, shrugs]. See it (somewhere) on August 28.
BOTH should be considered PG-13 and spoilerific.

First Scene
Secondly, here’s the first scene of the movie, courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting (skip to 24:00):
John Squires of Bloody-Disgusting.com wrote:
- It looks like the plan is still for Disney to release Josh Boone‘s The New Mutants in theaters on August 28, as today’s virtual “Comic-Con at Home” panel did not feature any sort of surprise news about a straight-to-streaming drop or a release date change of any kind.
- But the panel did at least feature an awesome new trailer, along with the film’s entire opening scene.
- These new bits of footage make it clear that The New Mutants is most definitely a horror movie, and they also feature a whole lot of action-packed insanity the fuses that horror with colorful super-heroics.
An additional poster was also revealed:

Which, Bloody Disgusting noted is inspired by the below poster for A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.

Whatever on Freddy. I had enough of him back in the day.
However, I am very excited to finally see “New Mutants.”
Am I ready to head to non-drive in to see the movie? IDK. Time will tell.
But, I would have been guaranteed to watch it had it been streamed back in April – and it wouldn’t now be a meme.
Just sayin’.
#NewMutants has become the best meme of this century. https://t.co/sGxU5RNt8V
