New Signage Up At Epcot To Remind Food & Wine Guests About New Face Mask Rules
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you know that Disney World recently made some important revisions to their facemask policy. Disney has updated the language on the disneyworld.com website to make it clear that though guests CAN take their face masks off to dine while in the parks, the CANNOT walk and eat without a facemask one.
When guests are taking a facemask time out for dining purposes they most remain stationary and socially distanced for other diners. Here’s the policy as it appears on Disney’s website:
This is a new policy that just went into effect over the weekend. In order to keep guests up-to-date on the new policy, Disney has introduced new signage to let guests know about the change. MickeyBlog is on the scene at EPCOT this afternoon and noticed cast members stationed around the World Showcase holding these signs:
It makes sense that we are seeing this at EPCOT as it is currently home to the Food & Wine Festival where many guests visit the parks specifically to try out the incredible eats and treats at the Festival Kitchens.
As you can see from the images above Cast Members have handheld signs but there are also larger signs at various locations around EPCOT.
With the new policies in place guests must keep your face coverings on at all times while walking through the theme parks. Those wanting to take a break from the mask-wearing can do this during meal time OR but stopping at one of the relaxation stations you’ll find at various locations at each of the theme parks.
We would expect Disney to make further adjustments to its phased reopening policies as the crowds start to grow. The best way to keep up on all of these changes is to keep following along with MickeyBlog for further news and updates!
