Select Entertainment Options Added Back, Another Hotel Reopens in Time for Shanghai Disneyland’s Fourth Anniversary
Yesterday, June 16, 2020 marked four years of magic at the Shanghai Disneyland Resort in China. This year’s fourth anniversary is extra special since it marks one month since the much-anticipated reopening of the Park. The phased reopening began back in March with the opening of shopping and dining experiences at Disneytown and Wishing Star Park and even more magical experiences have begun to be added in daily.
Shanghai Disneyland has been super excited to welcome back Guests and Cast Members. The phased reopening process has gone smoothly with Guests providing overwhelmingly positive feedback on the new health and safety measures that have been introduced.
Guest attendance at Disneytown in Shanghai Disneyland have been coming back in record numbers since it reopened three months ago. The Resort has been gradually increasing capacity and even more Guests have been staying at the Disneyland Hotel. In addition, the Toy Story Hotel has also been opened to accommodate more Guests.
Those additional Guests coming Shanghai Disneyland to celebrate its fourth anniversary will now also have more entertainment options to enjoy in the Park during their stay. Several theater shows, including “Eye of the Storm: Captain Jack’s Stunt Spectacular” and “Frozen: A Sing-Along Celebration” have reopened. In addition, a colorful new seasonal show has opened called, “Disney Color-Fest!”
“Disney Color-Fest” isn’t the only new magical attraction at Shanghai Disneyland! An all-new store, Chip n’ Dale’s Trading Post in Adventure Island, has also opened.
Old favorites are still around for Guests to delight in as well! While Mickey, Minnie, and Pals are greeting Guests in new ways, they are still on hand to bring a smile to the faces of young and old alike. The iconic TRON attraction is also open and you will see Guests Disney Bounding everywhere you look!
But, that’s not all! There’s even a new friend that has joined the rest of the characters at Shanghai Disneyland. The music-loving ‘Olu Mel, the music-loving turtle from Hawaii, has joined Duffy and his friends at the Park.
June is also important month because it’s also Donald Duck’s birthday! To celebrate, Donald Duck has taken over the Resort with special birthday offerings including limited-edition merchandise along with food and beverage options!
Happy Anniversary, Shanghai Disneyland! Here’s to many more years!
