Could Disney Have Given Us a New Map To The Star Wars Galaxy?
Star Wars fans take note. This new map from Disney Parks gives us a look of a galaxy far, far away. The information below was created to give fans some insight into where Batuu fits into the Star Wars universe and was recently shared by Comicbook.com.
Batuu is the setting for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge expansion at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World and is set to be on the outer edges of the galaxy. As things begin to reopen there are updates and tweak being made and it looks like someone took time to literally map out the stars while the theme parks were on hiatus.
The map reads, “As you see, Batuu is in the Western Reaches of the Outer Rim, perched on the edge of the known and the unknown. It is precisely this location that has shaped the planet’s history. Before advanced hyperspace capabilities. Batuu’s position made it a bustling fueling stop for ships heading into Wild Space. With the advances technology and well-charted hyperplanes, most modern travelers choose to bypass Batuu, resulting in the planet becoming a crossroads for adventures and a haven for those who prefer life in the shadows.”
As we previously announced here at MickeyBlog, Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World is expected on open on July 15th. On the West Coast Disneyland will be opening on July 17th. This means that Star Wars fans on both coasts will be able to venture to Black Spire outpost to enjoy phenomenal attractions like Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and Rise of the Resistance.
That means you have a month to brush up on your Galaxy Map before heading to the theme parks. Readers are also encouraged to keep following with MickeyBlog for the latest Star Wars news and updates.
Fifty menacing First Order Stormtroopers await guests as they arrive in the hangar bay of a Star Destroyer as part of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, the groundbreaking new attraction opening Dec. 5, 2019, inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida and Jan. 17, 2020, at Disneyland Park in California that takes guests into a climactic battle between the Resistance and the First Order.
