Anthony Mackie Partners with United Way to Support Grocery Workers

During a time when everyone can use a helping hand, Anthony Mackie is answering that call. According to a story from Daily Mail, he has joined forces with United Way. The article explains that together they are setting up the Grocery Workers Relief Fund. This fund will help financially support the grocery workers in the Orleans Parish who have been on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Louisiana native has specifically targeted the United Way of Southeast Louisiana to work with. A tweet from last week gave us a sneak peek at a virtual meeting taking place for the relief fund. It is clear that Mackie is one of the key players in the development of this project.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Mackie’s recent MCU project The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been stalled since March due to the Coronavirus. The Marvel actor has clearly used this time to find ways of doing good for his community. Just last week, it was announced that production on the new series would resume. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will stream on the Disney+ platform and is set for a Fall 2020 release.
