NBA Owners Approve Restart of Season at Walt Disney World, 22 Teams Invited
After weeks of speculation, it is confirmed that the NBA will be coming to Walt Disney World to finish their 2019-2020 season as NBA Owners just approved the restart of the season with a vote of 29 to 1!
As expected, the NBA Board of Governors has approved the plan to resume the NBA season at Walt Disney World.

According to the Associated Press, 22 NBA teams will be invited to restart their Season at Walt Disney World. Teams that were in playoff contention before the season came to a halt back in March will be one of the 22 teams included. All other teams that were within six games of a playoff berth were also included.

The Associated Press says that the Milwaukee Bucs, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, and Toronto Raptors had already clinched their playoff berth so they will be traveling to Walt Disney World. Other teams that will also be included are the Miami Heat, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, and Dallas Mavericks.

There will be an additional nine teams playing in for a post-season spot. For the Eastern Conference, this includes the Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic, and the Washington Wizards. Teams from the Western Conference include the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trailblazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs, and the Phoenix Suns.

The NBA teams will restart with eight regular season games at Walt Disney World. These games will determine seeding and a possible play-in tournament. From there, the playoffs will begin as well as the NBA Finals.
Games will be held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. I also wouldn’t be surprised if games were held in the convention center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This is also the Resort that I believe will host the team, players, and staff. When the season kicks off, fans are not expected to be in attendance
