Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively Donate $1-million To Food Banks
Sometimes you just want to believe that people are as cool as they seem on video.
Apparently, Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively are even cooler.
Today, it was announced, that the couple will donate $1-million to food banks in Canada and The United States.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have joined the growing list of celebrities who are chipping in to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Reynolds took to Twitter on Monday to announce that he and his wife are donating $1 million to food banks in North America.
“Covid-19 has brutally impacted older adults and low income families,” the “Deadpool” actor wrote. “Blake and I are donating $1 million to be split between FEEDING AMERICA and FOOD BANKS CANADA.”
“If you can give, these orgs need our help,” he continued.
And, in case you missed it, Ryan and Hugh Jackman (who plays Wolverine in the X-Men series) have a bit of a rivalry.

Receiving the Order of Australia is a HUGE deal. And despite what I tell anyone who’ll listen, Hugh Jackman is one of the finest, kindest, hardest working, generous and most talented people I’ve had the privilege to call my friend. There’s nobody better. None of this changes the unfortunate fact he’s a complete bastard. 🇦🇺
