BREAKING NEWS: Disneyland NOT Required to Comply With Governer’s Order Regarding Large Gatherings
If you’ve been following along with the recent news about the Coronavirus spread in California, you’ll know that Gov. Gavin Newsom recently passed an order against large gatherings to counter the spread of COVID 19.
However, Newsom was quick to point out that California public health officials issued an updated policy clarifying “non-essential” gatherings. Examples given were sporting events, concerts and conference. It is recommended that events like those listed are postponed until at least the end of March.
So where does this leave Disney?
However, according to a report by CBS Los Angeles, Gavin said that Disneyland was exempt from his order due to the “complexity of their unique circumstances.” However the governor pointed out that discussions surrounding the topic remain ongoing.
Newsom went on to add that he’s spoken to Disney Executive Bob Iger regarding the matter. He also advised that guidance on limited larger crowds in the face of the Coronavirus are likely to extend beyond March.
