Disney’s ‘Toy of the Year’ Accolades
The 20th annual TOTY Awards resulted in some wins for Disney this year. 16 categories are represented at the TOTY awards, with Disney taking 3 of those categories. This included ‘Action Figure of the Year,’ ‘STEM/STEAM Toy of the Year,’ and ‘Creative Toy of the Year.’

The Disney Pixar Toy Story Basic Figures collection received ‘Action Figure of the Year’ award. Toy Story 4 took home the Academy Award for ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ this year, so it is not surprising to see this set as a victor.
STEM/STEAM Toy of the Year

The LEGO® BOOST Star Wars™ Droid Commander set took home 1st place in the STEM/STEAM category this year. This innovative toy gives kids the opportunity to try coding, while building classic LEGO sets. Star Wars films and merchandise continue to impress, so this doesn’t surprise us at all!
Creative Toy of the Year
This victory will shock no one! The creative category award goes to ‘Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Droid Depot Custom Astromech Units,’ found at Disney Parks. This experience, which can be found inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, gives you the opportunity to build your very own Star Wars droid. These droids interact with the land around you while in the park, and even have personalities. This is a popular experience, so reservations are recommended.
