Star-Studded Voice Cast Explains Disney/Pixar’s Onward
There are SO MANY amazing artists involved in Disney/Pixar’s Onward.
And, no doubt, Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, and director Dan Scanlon (Monsters University) are all integral to the story that became Pixar’s latest opus, Onward.
The official boilerplate sets the table:
Set in a suburban fantasy world, Disney and Pixar’s “Onward” introduces two teenage elf brothers who embark on an extraordinary quest to discover if there is still a little magic left out there. Pixar Animation Studios’ all-new original feature film is directed by Dan Scanlon and produced by Kori Rae—the team behind “Monsters University.” “Onward” releases in theaters on March 6, 2020.
But the voice cast and director bring the smorgasbord:

I love Chris Pratt’s description of the brothers’ relationship.
“Tom is really great as Ian,” said Pratt to Disney’s cameras. “And I play his big brother Barley who is this bumbling, well-intentioned ding dong.
“There’s something similar about our relationship,” added Pratt. “You see it in the physicality [of the characters].”
A bumbling, well-intentioned ding dong…
That’s enough for me. I will be there on March 6.
Will you?
