An Empty Shanghai Disneyland Park Due to Coronavirus Outbreak Closing
Shanghai Disneyland still remains closed with the ongoing concern of the Coronavirus outbreak. Thanks to @gourmedyy for these drone pics, we can see the eeriness of the empty park.
The park has been closed since Saturday, January 28th and will remain closed until further notice. This closure affects Disneytown, Walt Disney Grand Theatre, and Wishing Star Park.
In an official statement, Disney said the move was “in response to the prevention and control of the disease outbreak and in order to ensure the health and safety of our guests and cast” They added, “We will continue to carefully monitor the situation and be in close contact with the local government, and we will announce the reopening date upon confirmation,” Shanghai Disney Resort said in a statement.
