Disney Looks to Add DVC Villas at Disneyland Hotel
According to a recent post in the Los Angeles Times, it looks like the Walt Disney Co. is looking to add more Disney Vacation Club villa options for guests visiting Disneyland Resort. Plans were submitted on Friday to build a 350-unit timeshare project adjacent to its Disneyland Hotel.
The project involves removing a hotel laundry facility and other behind-the-scenes structures to make room for the 12-story 280,000 square-foot development. As of going to print, Disney hasn’t announced specifics regarding when they are planning to open the expansion.
This project would be the second timeshare project at Disneyland Resort. The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa (one of the three onsite resorts at Disneyland) has 71 timeshare units.
