Disney Cruise Line Annonces Potential Changes Ahead of Hurricane Dorian
If you plan on heading to Walt Disney World or on a Disney Cruise in the next week or so, I’m sure your eyes are on the tropics. That is why Disney Cruise Line has just released an advisory about a few of their ships ahead of Hurricane Dorian.
The Disney Cruise Line advisory states:
We are closely monitoring the path and progress of Hurricane Dorian to ensure our Guests enjoy safe and comfortable cruises, and to make certain our ships steer clear of the storm. The safety of our Guests and crew is always our foremost concern.
At this time, based on the current predicted storm timing and path, we do not anticipate any changes to the Disney Fantasy sailing on Saturday, Aug. 31. We are closely monitoring potential implications for the Disney Dream sailings on Friday, Aug. 30 and Monday, Sept. 2. We encourage Guests to monitor our website for updates.
Per the advisory, it sounds like if you have plans to set sail on the Disney Fantasy on Saturday, August 31, you should be in the clear. However, if you have plans to sail on the Disney Dream departing on either Friday, August 30 or Monday, September 2, changes may be announced. Earlier, this week, the Disney Fantasy had to slightly modify its itinerary due to the threat of Dorian which was a tropical storm at the time.
