How Long Do the Christmas Decorations Stay Up at Walt Disney World?
It’s that time of year where families start to finalize their holiday travel plans and for many this may include a late December or Early January getaway to Walt Disney World. A question I often get asked for those heading to the theme parks in January is “How long do the Christmas decorations stay up at Walt Disney World?”
Earlier this month we shared a video of Walt Disney World making a seemingly overnight transition from Halloween to Christmas decor. The process is very similar post Christmas visitors may find a gradual dwindling of decorations very soon after the New Year.
For those arriving the end of December, festivities at some of the theme parks including meet and greets and seasonal activities tend to run the duration of that week. However, for those arriving the first week of January, you may still catch a glimpse of the holiday splendor but by the time we reach the first weekend of the New Year, they’ll be packed away for Christmas 2019.
Schedules may differ slightly between the theme parks, resorts and Disney Springs. But guests not able to make a trip before the end of December may want to start planning your destination Christmas for 2019!
