Check Out the Incredible Starships That Have Landed at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland
If there’s one thing that’s sure to impress during your visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge it’s Disney’s incredible attention to detail. From the moment you walk through the gates, you’ll be magically transported to a galaxy, far, far away. While on the planet Batuu you may even spot some iconic and vehicles up close. Here are some of the incredible starships you’ll want to be on the lookout for:
A-wing Starfighter
With its sleek arrowhead shape, a streamlined cockpit and two incredible twin engines, the A-wing is known for its high speeds. Fans will recognize this ship by the Rebel Alliance and now the Resistance. You’ll find the one pictured above at the Resistance encampment.
Landspeeders
There are two models of speeders that you’ll notice being repaired at Black Spire Station: an X-34 model (like the one Luke Skywalker) used on Tatooine and a Jakku speeder that was constructed from scavenged parts.
Sienar-Chall Utilipede Transport
Sitting atop Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Black Spire Outpost you’ll find this modified shuttle being used as a mobile kitchen and restaurant by Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs.
X-wing Starfighter
The X-wing is a versatile ship balancing speed and firepower and is often used in dogfights first by the Rebel Alliance and now the Resistance. It gets its name from the “X” its four wings create when they’re locked in attack position. You’ll find the one pictured above at the Resistance encampment.
First Order TIE echelon
A new assault vehicle in the TIE (twin ion engine) series, this echelon shuttle is used by the First Order mainly for small troop and cargo transport. Come see this starship at the First Order Cargo area in Batuu.
Millennium Falcon
You’ll notice this as the iconic ship that belongs to smuggler Han Solo and his Wookiee first mate, Chewbacca, and more recently by Rey. The Millennium Falcon is sometimes lovingly referred to as “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.” The YT-1300 Corellian freighter is located at the Spaceport and is currently being loaned to Hondo Ohnaka, the former pirate who owns and operates Ohnaka Transport Solutions.
Whether you’re part of the Resistance or supporting the First Order, activate your hyperdrive (or your smartphone cameras) and head on over to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge where all of the starships above make awesome photo ops.
