Avoid these Disney Fastpass + Reservations
Planning a Disney World vacation can be exhausting. How many days are you staying? Where are you staying? How soon should you make dining reservations? What time should you eat? There are hundreds of decisions to make even before you enter the place where dreams come true.
The Fastpass + system has now added three more decisions for every day of your stay. Which three rides do you want a Fastpass + for? You don’t have to make those decisions before you get into the park. But thousands of other people have already done so. The Fastpass + for the most popular rides will be gone if you don’t reserve yours before your trip. If you want to have a better theme park experience, you need to plan ahead.
But even after deciding to reserve your Fastpass +, there are still more choices to make. Disney offers a wide array of Fastpass + options. You can reserve a spot of rides, at shows, and even to meet characters. You want to choose the Fastpass + reservations that will save you the most time. You want Fastpass + reservations for rides with the longest wait times. But which are Fastpass + reservations are vital and which ones are a waste of time? Here are the Fastpass + reservations that I avoid in favor of a better Fastpass + choice.
Magic Kingdom
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
This ride has a continuous loading system which means that more guests are on the ride per hour. The wait time for this ride will be shorter than other Fastpass + attractions.

Meet Rapunzel and Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall
The line to meet Cinderella and Elena is usually longer. Unless this meet and greet is a must do, it’s better to have the Fastpass + reservation for Cinderella and Elena.

Meeting Disney Pals at the EPCOT Character Spot
This character meet isn’t unique to the park. It’s usually Mickey, Minnie, or Goofy in their everyday outfit. You’ll be able to do this same meet almost anywhere else and not waste a Fastpass + on it.
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
This ride has a continuous loading system which means that more guests are on the ride per hour. The wait time for this ride will be shorter than other Fastpass + attractions.

Special thanks to Brittni Sutter for writing this article! As a lover of all things Disney, I’ve made it my life’s mission to learn about the history and artistry the House of Mouse. I’ve vacationed to half of the resorts and plan to complete the Disney Parks mecca in the coming years. I fill my life with as much magic as Disney can muster and I love encouraging others to do the same.
