Where to Stay Wednesday – Disney’s Beach Club
I love Disney’s Beach Club Resort! Not only is it the New England charm and the beach features all around this resort, but the proximity to two of the Disney theme parks that makes this one of my favorite places to stay.
5 top reasons why I love this resort:
1. Sand-bottom pool!
I don’t know how Disney does it, but this pool is clear as can be and full of sand at the bottom. It is spectacular! Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Beach Club features 3 acres of pool, lazy river, sand play islands and one of the highest waterslides on Disney property! The 230-foot-long waterslide takes you down a replica of a life-sized shipwrecked boat and into the sand-bottom water. There is a miniature waterslide for the little ones nearby and three whirlpool spas to relax in…not to mention plenty of deck space to work on that Florida tan you know you want to wear home! There are also leisure pools located throughout the property for a more tranquil swim or just a quick dip closer to your room!
2. Two parks so close!!
As a huge fan of Epcot, you cannot beat the location of this resort because you can simply walk in through the back entrance. Epcot’s International Gateway brings you right into the world showcase at a very convenient and much less crowded entrance to this park! You can also enjoy a relaxing boat ride to Hollywood Studios from this resort. There is also a walking path to this park, but the boat ride is so enjoyable as you take in the sights and learn interesting facts about the park from your friendly Friendship boat skipper!
3. Fireworks from the beach!
Not only are there Movies Under the Stars on this beach, but you can also enjoy Epcot’s Illuminations fireworks here as well! You could also take a walk out to the lighthouse boat dock for an amazing opportunity to get some breath-taking photos of the fireworks while you enjoy them.
4. Time to dine!!
This resort offers some amazing dining experiences…and some with characters too! Cape May Cafe is a magical place to start your day with Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast complete with an amazing buffet and characters! Have those autograph books and smiles ready! You can also dine here in the evening for the Seafood-and-More dinner…another amazing buffet but characters will not appear at this meal. If you are looking to jump back in time, head over to Beaches and Cream Soda Shop and enjoy the nostalgia of the Atlantic seashore, American grill favorites and the old-fashioned soda fountain. If you just need a little something sweet, consider the Kitchen Sink…or at least an ice cream from the walk-up window. Disney’s Beach Club also has a great quick service Marketplace near the lobby, Hurricane Hanna’s Grill by the pool and 24-hour room service.
5. Spend the day here!
If you are staying at Disney’s Beach Club, plan a day to stay at your resort. There is so much to do here! Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf is located near this resort. From the docks children age 4 to 12 can set sail on the Pirate Adventure Cruise in search of hidden treasure. You also have campfire activities, motorized boat rentals, bike rentals, fishing, tennis, sand volleyball, the Lafferty Place Arcade and an amazing workout room and spa at Ship Shape Massage Salon Fitness! Or just take time to enjoy the walking trails and take a loop around Crescent Lake where you will pass by Disney’s Boardwalk Inn with even more opportunities for entertainment. Want to enjoy a date night? No problem. This resort features the Sandcastle Club where kids 3 to 12 years of age can enjoy their evening while you enjoy yours!
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is where I will be for my next stay. Let’s make it yours too!!
