Social Distancing Markers Placed at Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean
Good afternoon Disney friends! We’ve been at Magic Kingdom today as part of the Cast Member previews and for those that are curious, we thought we’d give you a look at the social distancing markers that have been placed at our favorite attractions.
First, let’s take a look at Space Mountain:
As you can see, the FastPass lines aren’t in use at the moment and the outside queues have markers on them to keep guests separated.
As we previously reported, Fastpasses will not be available during the initial reopening phases of the park.
Once inside, the markers continue throughout the duration of the queue. You can also see them continue up the ramp.
Guests were pretty good at keeping their distance during our recent visit to Space Mountain with the markers being a helpful guide. One it was our turn to ride, seats we entered as a party of four. We were allowed to occupy seats 1 & 2 as well as 4 & 5. Row three was left empty.
Over at Adventureland for Pirates of the Caribbean, it is much of the same.
Many of these markers weren’t in use because the lines were so short but they will come in handy as the crowds start to get bigger.
Once onboard you can see that the first two rows of the boat were filled followed by two spaces and then the final two rows.
At the outside queue for Haunted Mansion, you can see more markers amongst the cobblestones.
Another thing worth noting for Haunted Mansion fans is that the stretching room is not in use, guests skip that part and go directly to the Doom Buggies.
Last but not least, we venture over to Peter Pan’s Flight, during the indoor queue, social distancing markers are placed at various points inside were guests can follow along with the interactive queue.
Hopefully, this gives you a clearer sense of what the queuing system is like at the Magic Kingdom so that you know what to expect when you hit the parks. We’ll be at the theme park for the rest of the day so keep checking in with us for further news and updates.
