The Edison is Closed at Disney Springs
Florida released restrictions on bars this week, and The Edison at Disney Springs has been affected. Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, ordered bars closed because of the massive spread of the COVID-19 virus in the state. Numbers of positive cases have skyrocketed this week. Disney Springs, upon re-opening, already had in place mask requirements and social distancing rules, but amid this new resurgence it seems some of their popular bars have closed again.
The Edison is part of the Landing at Disney Springs and is themed in a gothic style of innovation and imagination. The restaurant and bar is showing “temporaily unavailable” on the Disney Springs website. The Edison does have a full bar and offers speciality drinks. It is categorized as a bar/nightclub, but they did serve food and was originally part of the Disney Dining Plan.
MickeyBlog was at Disney Springs today and confirmed The Edison is one of the bars/restuarants that is closed. Several locations were in this category and several locations were open with social distancing in place. Outdoor venues were open and venues that have more than 50% of their sales in food.
MickeyBlog will continue to visit Disney Springs and keep readers updated on any changes in The Edison or any additonal closures of bars and restaurants at the location.
