Exclusive Guide to Cinderella’s Castle Suite
What do you get when you combine gold floors, glass slippers and gorgeous views? A room fit for royalty –Cinderella and Prince Charming that is. Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom consists of three floors – the first floor is Cinderella’s Royal Table lobby, along with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the opposite side of the breezeway.
The second floor is strictly the dining and kitchen areas for the restaurant. On the third floor of Cinderella’s Castle lies the most sought after “royal bedchamber” for guests at Walt Disney World – Cinderella’s Castle Suite.
Who doesn’t want to spend a night in a castle, let alone in the Magic Kingdom? Here’s the catch though – it is almost impossible to stay the night here. Not even the largest amount of money can buy a stay in this suite.
The only way for an overnight stay in this rare abode is to win a contest or be a very special celebrity. Think of it as a presidential suite. Even a visit or just a glimpse of the room is rare and highly unlikely to happen to just anyone. What makes this room so special, you ask? Let’s find out!
The Breezeway is the Only Way
The door that leads to Cinderella Castle suite is in the breezeway of the castle. Thousands of people pass through this breezeway every day, admiring the beautiful mosaics. Little do they know, they are just a short walk away from the golden elevator leading to the third floor.
When guests enter through the breezeway door they find themselves in a small lobby with a concierge desk and a few chairs. There are many beautiful flower arrangements (probably picked by the mice), a large grandfather clock (to keep track of time of course – you wouldn’t want to be out past midnight), and of course the grand elevator doors leading up to the third floor. This breezeway door is the only door that guests use to take to and from the park.
Going Up?
The elevator ride is a lot to take in – gold mosaic flooring, gold walls, gold doors – Fairy Godmother must have made it herself.
Guests pass a few floors before finally reaching their destination, and on rare occasions they may even run into a princess in the elevator on her way to Cinderella’s Royal Table. The elevator is specially protected when it is not in use by overnight or touring guests.
The first step onto the third floor is breathtaking. Beautiful, sparkling gold and blue mosaic tiles form the shape of a Cinderella’s Carriage on the floor in the foyer.
In the glass case straight ahead guests can find Cinderella’s crown, Fairy Godmother’s magic wand, a few pumpkins, and of course the famous glass slipper. There are a few portraits on the wall as well.
Door #1 or Door #2?
From this point there are two doors, one leading to a Guest Relations office and one leading to the royal bedchamber. The first sight after entering through the bedroom door are the two queen sized beds with a C engraved into each headboard.
The C’s are said to stand for Cinderella and Charming. Beds, sofa’s and chairs are strictly only to be used by overnight guests. The next eye-catching spot in the suite is the fireplace with Cinderella’s portrait above the mantle. This portrait turns into a television with just the click of a button.
Room With a View
Over in the next room is the parlor featuring a few seating areas and incredible views. If guests look out the stained glass windows in the parlor at the perfect time of day, they have the best view for the Festival of Fantasy parade!
It is a spectacular view from above, and from this perspective guests view the parade crossing over the bridge from Liberty Square onto Main Street USA.
The other set of windows has a view into Fantasyland. The stained glass windows are not just any ordinary windows – each window has its own separate painting telling the story of Cinderella in sequence. The first window is a painting of a house, then a letter, a clock, a shoe, Jaq and Gus with a key, and last but not least Cinderella’s happily ever after – the castle. The parlor also includes the suites second television, along with a set of every Disney movie ever made.
The Bathtub?
According to those who have been lucky enough for a rare tour, the most glamourous part of the castle suite is the bathroom. One cannot stay in Cinderella’s Castle Suite and not take a bubble bath. The bathtub is the most talked about feature in the entire suite. The bathtub glimmers and glows with mosaic paintings of the castle and surrounding forest. What gets most people is the mood lighting with the starry night sky they see while looking towards the ceiling.
Perk After Perk
After an overnight stay in the castle suite, guests get to enjoy breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table and meet the princess herself if they wish. Guests are also given a glass slipper to remember their stay in the suite. It is rare to stay in Cinderella’s Castle Suite. However, Cinderella would always tell you that if you keep on believing, a dream that you wish will come true.
Every little girl has the dream of sleeping in Cinderella’s Castle suite. That dream never goes away regardless of how old you get! It’s so special and something princesses young and old can always hope for!
