‘Inside Out 2’ Surpasses ‘The Avengers’ To Become the 10th Highest-Grossing Movie Ever
With Deadpool & Wolverine currently dominating the box office, it is easy to forget that Disny’s other blockbuster, Inside Out 2, is still in theaters.
Originally released on June 14, Pixar’s long-awaited sequel to 2016’s Inside Out has continued to increase its box office total.
The last time we checked in on Inside Out 2, the film had surpassed Frozen 2 to become the highest-grossing animated film of all time.
Another Record Broken
Through Wednesday, the film has now grossed nearly $1.524 billion at the global box, making the latest Pixar release the 10th highest-grossing film of all time.
The film had to surpass Furious 7 ($1.515 billion) and The Avengers ($1.521 billion) to reach the top ten.
An International Juggernaut
At the international box office, Inside Out 2 has grossed $905.1 million. That number has been boosted by Mexico, where the film is the highest-grossing movie ever, having earned over $100 million. The film is also the highest-earning release in Brazil’s history.
According to Deadline, the Top 10 international markets for Inside Out 2 have been Mexico ($100.5 million), Brazil ($77.3 million), UK ($64.9 million), Korea ($58.2 million), France ($55.6 million), Italy ($47.1 million), China ($45.9 million), Germany ($44.7 million), Spain ($44.4 million) and Australia ($35.1 million). Notably, the film only opened in Japan today.

A Huge Win For Pixar
