Illinois Man Arrested For Snatching Mickey Ears Off a Woman’s Head at Magic Kingdom
One Magic Kingdom guest’s Disney World vacation ended behind bars after he allegedly stole Mickey Mouse ears off a random woman’s head.
Mark Robinson, 54, was charged with robbery after suddenly taking a pair of Mickey Mouse ears off a woman’s head, believing that they belonged to his daughter. The incident occurred on December 14, 2023.
The Incident in Question
An Orange County deputy responded to the incident at the Magic Kingdom around 7:30 p.m. and spoke to the woman involved.
She said that as she was getting off a ride with her husband and child, she heard Robinson yelling behind her. The woman did not engage with Robinson as she didn’t realize he was talking to her.
According to the affidavit, Robinson then “forcefully” took the Mickey Mouse ears off her head. He claimed they belonged to his daughter. The woman told the deputy that she had bought the ears years before.
The woman’s husband then pushed Robinson away from his wife, who had flagged down Disney security.
Robinson Was Arrested
Robinson told the deputy that earlier in the day, his daughter had asked to go back to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin because she thought she had left her Mickey Mouse ears there. When they returned to the attraction, they could not find the ears.
Later in the day, Robinson noticed a woman wearing the same style of ears that his daughter lost. He grabbed the ears off her head and asked why she was wearing his daughter’s hat.
Robinson, who is from Romeoville, Illinois, was detained and transported to Orange County’s Booking and Release Center.
