See How Cars Land Fuels Up for the Haul-idays at Disneyland!
There’s no better place to “gear up” for the festive season than Disney California Adventure. Especially over at Cars Land, the “haul-idays” are currently in full swing, with a whole auto-jumble of delightful décor brightening up the area for guests!
Let’s take a look….
Yesterday evening, our MickeyBlog reporters swung by Cars Land for a quick pit-stop during a festive Disneyland day out. As you can see from the photos, we weren’t the only ones choosing to refuel here at Flo’s – and we’re not surprised!
Each year, Cars Land undergoes a magical transformation for the festive season, decking the roads with all kinds of unique and inspired decorations. It’s a joy to see year after year, so we were excited to snap some photos of this season’s fun additions!
Starting right here at Flo’s, we’re absolutely loving these hilarious garlands, hung high around the gas station and along the roads of Cars Land.
At first glance they look like simple, sweet decorations, but on closer inspection we can see there’s a bit more to it than that!
Yes, all the garlands are, in fact, made of old car air filters, strung together with ribbons and lights. It’s on-theme, it’s resourceful, it’s whimsical – we love it!
These garlands look spectacular with the rest of the 50’s-style holiday décor on the roads, including these fun tinsel oil cannisters. So random, but so cute!
Another favorite feature is how the Tow Mater sign is done up for the season.
As you can see, a large Santa hat has been placed on his roof, with garlands of oil cans, baubles, ribbons, and rust all flowing around the signage.
We love Mater, and we sure do love how he decorates for the holidays. I mean, just look at this incredible “tree”!
It’s made of tyres! How fun!
Another “tree” in Cars Land that we absolutely adore can be found over here at Flo’s. It’s just stacked cans of motor oil, dotted with tinsel and a few baubles.
About as festive as you can get – right?
Other festive folly we loved at Cars Land is this fun wall of holiday “Trolleywood” movie posters. “Coolant Runnings“? “The Lugnutcracker“? “The Santa Clutch“? I’d watch all of these!
If you’re planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort this holiday season, we’d always recommend you stop by Disney California Adventure for a festive visit to Cars Land.
The area always looks so quaint and unique, and is sure to put a smile on your face as you “drive” through.
If you are planning a visit, you could always prepare ahead by ordering a pair of these awesome, light-up Cars Land mouse ears, available now in-store and on shopDisney.
After all, nothing says “Christmas” like a light-up Mickey Ear headband!
In the meantime, we’ll go back to admiring these air filter garlands.
Wait, are those snowflakes made out of arranged white wrenches?
Which of these unique, auto-inspired festive decorations are your favorite? Will you be visiting Cars Land for the Haul-idays this winter?
