The First Muslim Super Hero is Coming to Disney+ in ‘Ms. Marvel’
During the Marvel Panel at this past weekend’s D23 Expo, it was announced that Marvel’s first Muslim Super Hero would be joining the Disney+ line up in “Ms. Marvel!”
Kamela Kahn is “Ms. Marvel.” She is teenage Pakistani-American from a religious family who lives in New Jersey. And, her superpower you ask? She is polymorphous meaning she can bend and stretch to change her shape.
And, guess who might be portraying “Ms. Marvel!” None other than iconic actress, Mindy Kaling. Reports indicate that she has spoken with Marvel directly and would be “so excited” to land the role.
.@mindykaling on the conversations she’s had with @MarvelStudios about #MsMarvel, and who she thinks she portray the Pakistani American superhero: “I feel it might need to be an unknown” pic.twitter.com/kySV3gxgec

The “Ms. Marvel” comic book has been around since 1976. It was the name originally used by Carol Danvers until she adopted the name “Captain Marvel.”
If you are excited like me about this new “Ms. Marvel” Super Hero coming to Disney+ like me, it looks like we are going to have a wait a bit. It does not appear that it will be live when the Disney+ streaming service premieres on November 12, 2019.
