Disney’s Animal Kingdom Prepares for Epic 25th Anniversary Celebration
Tomorrow marks an incredible milestone for one of the most unique theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort. Not only is it Earth Day, but Disney’s Animal Kingdom will mark its 25th anniversary.
Officially opening to the public on April 22, 1998, Disney’s Animal Kingdom and the global celebration of all things nature collide intentionally. The theme park prides itself on its dedication to the care of and advocacy for animals and the environment.
The 25th Anniversary Stage is Set
Today as we strolled Discovery Island, the area surrounding the Tree of Life, we spotted a large stage built. Ready for tomorrow, the presentation on the platform will certainly capture the spirit of this tranquil space.
For guests visiting over the next couple of days, the display also adds to an already stellar spot to snag a photograph with the theme park’s intricate focal point.
Other 25th Anniversary Festivities
Along with the presentation stage, Disney’s Animal Kingdom released an abundance of new merchandise today celebrating its milestone.

Even the Muppets created a video of their most recent visit to the theme park in honor of the big achievement! MickeyBlog will also be onsite creating videos and bringing you all of the details over the next few days, so make sure to check back throughout the weekend.
