Walt Disney Tells Roy About Mickey (1928)
On this day in 1928, Walt Disney sent his brother Roy a telegram from New York.
The telegram read, “leaving tonite stopping over KC arrive home Sunday morning seven thirty. Don’t worry everything ok will give details when arrive”.
The telegram was a reference to the fact that Disney had lost Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Chales Mintz, but Walt had an idea for an animated mouse character.
Woodland Cafe Released (1937)
On this day in 1937, the Silly Symphony Woodland Cafe was released.

The Love Bug Released (1969)

Starring Dean Jones, Michele Lee, Buddy Hackett and Joe Flynn, the film told the story of a race car driver who becomes a champion driving a Volkswagen Beetle with a mind of its own. The film marked the debut of the popular Herbie the Love Bug!
Horizon’s Ride Vehicles Removed (2000)
On this day in 2000, the Omnimover vehicles were removed from Horizons.
