The Incredible Swimming Pools of Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii

There are an incredible 9 swimming options on the property. Let’s take a look at each!
Rainbow Reef – Aulani’s snorkelling pool is absolutely breathtaking. Here you can swim alongside tropical fish inside the only snorkelling lagoon on the island of O’ahu. This incredible saltwater lagoon is home to thousands of tropical fish. The resort offers snorkelling as well as scuba diving options so you can see them all. There’s also a 3,800 square foot viewing window so your family can watch you take to the seas. There is an additional fee to snorkel which is $20 per adult and $15 per child (ages 3-9) for 1-day access or $39 per adult and $29 per child to use the Reef during the entirety of your stay.
Wailana Pool
Aulani is a popular honeymoon destination and it is easy to understand why! Aulani isn’t just for families and the Wailana Pool is a testament to that! This Adults Only pool area is for the exclusive use of guests 18 and up. From lounging poolside with a cocktail in hand to having a relaxing dip in the tranquil pool- this is paradise. The pool itself is a 1,500 square foot tension edge pool. There’s a beautiful water wall feature and lounge area shaded under lush tropical trees.
Waikolohe Pool
This is the main family pool area at Aulani and is 8,200 square feet of magic! This zero-entry pool area has something that kids of all ages are sure to love. Even on those cooler Hawaiian mornings the pool is heated to a tropical 86° Kids will love the Volcanic Vertical waterslide. There’s also plenty of poolside seating and some of your favorite Disney characters have even been known to drop by and say hello. Also, be sure to check out the resort activity schedule for special poolside activities from dance parties to teen and tween shindigs.
Menehune Bridge
This is the perfect splash zone for pint-sized Aulani visitors (kids must be 48″ inches or smaller to hang here.) This water playground comes in at a massive 21,000 square feet which includes a climbing structure, 2 water slides, interactive play stations and some much more. It’s named after the mischevious Menehune “little people” of Hawaiin legend which you’ll find hiding in the area. Go on a bit of a scavenger hunt during your visit and see how many you can find.
Keiki Cove
This area of the Aulani is dedicated to the smallest kids in your family. It’s an interactive splash zone that draws its inspiration from the incredible tidal pools that surround Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa. Designed for children 5 and under it features the hidden Menehune mentioned above, as well as playful water jets adorned with fun aquatic creatures.
Whirlpool Spas
With adults in mind, the beautiful spa areas at Aulani are made up of 4 whirlpools heated to a relaxing 100-104 degrees. They’re the perfect spot to relax, unwind and watch your cares just drift away. The spas are located in different areas of the Aulani meaning that there’s always one close by. The locations are as follows: Waikolohe Pool, Waikolohe Stream, near Ka Maka Grotto and at ‘Alohi Point. The spas are only open for guests 18 and older.
Waikolohe Stream
Did someone say lazy river? Guests can gently float through the Waikolohe Valley aboard an intertube taking in all of the beautiful sights and sounds of Disney’s tropical island paradise. For those that prefer a slightly faster pace, you’ll also find the Tubestone Curl in this area of Aulani as well. It is an open-air innertube adventure offering a bit of adrenaline before launching you into the Waikolhohe Stream!
Ka Maka Grotto
Last but not least is a little slice of paradise for families looking to relax. This stunning infinity pool offers breathtaking ocean views of Ko Olina Beach. Another highlight is the mist grotto. During the evening there are even thousands of dazzling lights added to the area where it takes on a wonderful whimsical air!
