8 Iconic Lizzie McGuire Looks We’ll Never Forget
It’s the 22nd anniversary of one of my favorite shows — the iconic Lizzie McGuire. This show had a hold on me and one of the reasons was the fashion. In fact, I always looked forward to Lizzie’s outfits in every episode!
Take a look at some of the most memorable outfits of the show.
1. The Unicorn Sweater (“Picture Day” – Season 1, Episode 2)
In an early episode of Lizzie McGuire, Lizzie’s parents make Lizzie wear a handmade sweater made by her grandma for her school photo. This sweater featured a huge quilted unicorn and Lizzie was not happy about it!
2. 1960s Lizzie (“Come Fly with Me” — Season 1, Episode 13)
In this episode, Gordo, Lizzie, and Miranda, along with the entire school, become interested in 1950s and ’60s “lounge culture.” As a result, there are some fun and sophisticated outfits in this episode!
3. It’s Not a Phase! (“Bad Girl McGuire” – Season 1, Episode 11)
Lizzie goes for a grungy alternative look in this episode when she becomes friends with the rebellious Angel. But was it really just a phase? Yes, it was.
4. Mrs. Ethan Craft? (“Clue-less” — Season 2, Episode 23)
No, Lizzie didn’t marry Ethan. This episode featured a murder mystery party at the McGuire household, where all the guests dressed in 1920s clothing. Lizzie’s beaded dress, gloves, and headband will forever be an iconic look for her.
5. She’s Never Boa-ring (“Last Year’s Model” — Season 1, Episode 23)
In this episode, Lizzie takes to the runway for Teen Attitude magazine, and she gains the attention of the popular crowd. Lizzie dresses in a blue feather boa, huge earrings, and a blue hair accessory as a strategy to get her friends to stop treating her differently.
6. The $65 Jeans (“Best Dressed for Much Less” — Season 2, Episode 12)
When Lizzie wants to win “Best Dressed” at her school, she insists on needing $65 jeans. After she borrows money from friends to get the pricey jeans, they end up ruined by a spilled slushie.
7. Lizzie Walks the Italian Runway (The Lizzie McGuire Movie)
Of course, looks from 2003’s The Lizzie McGuire Movie must be included here, like the famous igloo dress.
8. Outfit Repeater (The Lizzie McGuire Movie)
And finally, it’s the cartoon dress that made Lizzie McGuire an “outfit repeater!”
