More Severe Weather Heads to Orlando Area Soon
It’s going to be another blustery evening tonight at Walt Disney World Resort with strong storms rolling in over the next few hours. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch went into effect about an hour ago for the vast majority of the eastern portions of Central Florida. At the time of writing, strong storms appeared in a line south of Walt Disney World, stretching diagonally from Sarasota to the west all the way to Cocoa Beach in the east.

Obviously, guests in the area will want to pack the ponchos this evening and keep their eyes to the sky. Storms should begin in the area around 4 p.m. based on current radar projections. Last night, tornado warnings posted just before 8 p.m. with a funnel cloud spotted in Central Florida.
