Awesome Entertainment Is Heading Your Way at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays
It’s November and you know what that means! The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is kicking off later this month! One of my favorite things about the festival each year is the holiday entertainment included the beloved Candlelight Process as well as JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season.
Let’s take a peek at some of the seasonal entertainment coming to EPCOT in the weeks ahead
JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season
Taking place on the Showcase Plaza Stage with the stunning Spaceship Earth as its backdrop, JOYFUL! features stirring and uplifting performances of music that celebrates Christmas and Kwanzaa. It is a wonderful time sure to put you in the holiday spirit.
Performances happen throughout the day so be sure to pick up a times guide or check the My Disney Experience app!
Canadian Holiday Voyageurs
Head over to the Canada Pavilion for the Canadian Holiday Voyageurs who will be sharing musical memories of the holiday season in the Great White North.
Lion Dance
We are so excited to share the news that the beautiful Chinese Lion Dance will be back at the World Showcase this holiday season! It is believed that the dance brings good fortune and happiness and honor holidays including Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival.
Other Holiday Traditions from Around the World
As you make your way around the World Showcase, be on the lookout as many of the pavilions will have entertainment that will center around the holiday traditions of the country they represent. This will include Italy’s La Befana, Pere Noel in France and many, many more! Best of all parents, it is both fun and educational!
Santa
Though Jolly Old Saint Nick is keeping his distance this year (we don’t want him to get sick on Christmas Eve,) he will still be on hand to meet visitors to The American Adventure in EPCOT. You’ll still be able to talk to Santa from a distance and will have just enough time to let him know if you’ve been naughty or nice!
Candlelight Processional
We can’t think of a better way to cap off your holiday visit than with a performance of the Candlelight Procession at the America Gardens Theatre. During this year’s performances, Voices of Liberty will form a living Christmas tree at center stage and whill be flanks by choirs of Disney cast members. A full orchestra will also be on hand during this traditional retelling for the first Christmas.
Celebrity narrators are there to tie the whole thing together and Disney has already announced the line-ups of performers for 2021. Let’s take a look:
