Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley Shares More Delightful Little Ratatouille Details
Imagineer Zach Riddley is once again sharing awesome insights with us on Instagram! Over the past few days its been all about Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and an attraction opening in the France Pavilion at EPCOT on October 1st are here for it!
Though we’ve written countless articles about the major features of this attraction, half the magic lies in all of those little details. Thanks to Zach, here are a couple of examples!

In the post above, Zach gives us a first look at some of the tiny things you’ll find in the queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. This includes the wallpaper pattern (below) that was inspired by traditional Parisian cinemas. Look closely and you may see some familiar faces!
Next up is something all you Disney historians will find pretty darn awesome. Though the image below may look like some insignificant floor tiles, it’s so much more than that. It actually marks the moment where the guest goes from being shrunken down to the size of the rat with the larger tiles to the size of a normal human where the tiles appear to be smaller.
But that’s not all that Riddley has in store for us! Yesterday, he shared a few additional details that we wanted to share with you.

Walking through Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure yesterday, Zach noticed that the queue markers (you know those little numbers that a cast member directs you to just before boarding) have a typeface that is worthy of note. The queue markers used on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure (similar to the typeface used on the “2” marker pictured above” feature numbers that are slightly off center to give guests the feeling of something “informal and printed” akin to the menus you’d get at a Parisian restaurant.
It just goes to show that every detail is meticulously thought out!
Rarely is anything coincidental or by mistake when it comes to Imagineering!
We can’t wait to find out more about this incredible attraction in the days and weeks ahead. Oh, and if you’re not following along with Zach on Instagram be sure to do so. His posts are an absolutely treasure trove of awesome Disney insights! Thanks Zach.
