Social Distancing No Longer Visible At Magic Kingdom’s Outdoor Eateries
So here’s something interesting that we wanted to share with you!
Our MickeyBloggers were at the Magic Kingdom this afternoon where there is no longer any trace of social distancing at the outdoor dining areas!
Above is the seating for Casey’s Corner. As you can see there are no tables marked as reserved to keep guests spaced out.
When walking by you still feel that the crowds are a bit lower due to capacity restrictions. However, its definitely a return to normalcy to see guests dining so close together!
This wasn’t just the case Main Street USA.
It was most evident at Casey’s corner but we we could also see the policy change at other famous Magic Kingdom outdoor dining areas!
Here we are on the other side of the HUB near the Plaza Inn and it’s more of the same.
All of the social distancing markers are no longer visible.
And facemasks of course are no longer required when walking around outside at the parks.
Though this side of Main Street wasn’t as high traffic you can still get the feel of how things have changed seemingly overnight!
From Main Street USA we headed over to Adventureland.
Here’s a look at the setup at Tortuga Tavern.
As you can see there is not any social distancing on the outdoor patio.
Guests are free to sit wherever they like.
Though there does seem to be fewer tables outside than I remember.
Nearly every outdoor table at Tortuga was filled even if it meant parties siting side by side.
As we walked through Adventureland it was the same at the smaller outdoor dining patios.
Here we are moving over to the Paco Bill side over the Tortuga/Paco’s restaurant.
Again there were lots of guests dining outdoors with tables near one another.
Weaving our way back round to Fantasyland you can a light crowd at Pinocchio Village Haus but no sign of social distancing.
Again, guests are now free to choose any available table, there are none that are off limits.
Eating al fresco has become a more popular option for travelers no as you only have to wear your mask indoors to pick up your food.
But with Mobile Ordering being implemented for many of these restaurants, that part of the process is a breeze!
At Pinocchio Village Haus there did seem to be the odd social distancing marker on the cobblestones but the seem to be remnants of Disney’s earlier and more strict COVID policy.
The seating area near the Friar’s Nook was probably the busiest we saw all day.
This view definitely takes us back to pre-pandemic times.
Rounding out our tour is a quick look at the patio at Cosmic Ray’s which is also pretty filled up with guests!
It’s so nice to see things at the theme parks starting to return to normal. I expect that we’ll see much more of this in the weeks ahead. So keep following along with us here at MickeyBlog for further news and updates.
