UPDATE: Unattached Theme Park Reservation Cancellations Scheduled
Good Morning MickeyBlog readers! If you were following over the weekend you saw that we were the first to bring you the news that Disney is updating their Disney Park Pass System in order to clean up unused Theme Park Reservations. I now have an update to the Park Reservation Cancellations story. I’m sharing an example email communication that Walt Disney World is sending to select guests.
As a review, valid Park Admission is required in order to make a Theme Park Reservation for the same date. But, if the Park Admission was cancelled or moved to a future travel date, the Theme Park Reservations stayed in place for the original travel dates. This ultimately decreased availability for other Walt Disney World guests from making Theme Park Reservations for those days.
Now Disney has “fixed the glitch”. Valid Park Admission for the same date as the Theme Park Reservation is required in order to KEEP that Theme Park Reservation.
Moving forward, guests will be sent the below email to notify them if action is required in order to keep their reservation.
